I actually got mine at least for a year and a half. Hornsby/Dead. Was fans of both prior and when Brent passed everyone was asking me if they'd team up. Until it was announced I didn't think so because of Hornsby's schedule and the fact the Dead needed someone to sing high-harmony. Glad I got him for as long as I did.

Also, Pat Metheny teaming with anyone always piques my interest.

Well that was really something of a dream come true. I think Hornsby is a hugely talented musician, and comes across as a really nice guy too. He really could spark Jerry back to life.
I love this Eyes from 91. There are times when Hornsby looks like a kid at Christmas who can hardly believe what he found under the tree.

The Man in Black and the Man in the Black T-Shirt. Can you just imagine how that Big River would flow?

Jerry and the Pacemakers.

Maybe he'd still be alive.

Hornsby as a "a kid at Christmas who can't believe what he's found under the tree." LOL what a great description / visual!

I, too, really enjoyed Hornsby's contributions & really enjoyed listening to his piano . . . brought back a little of Keith to the mix. However, didn't enjoy his accordion playing too much . . . Great video, though, really brought back some memories . . .

Just the other day I was thinking about how tiring it got & how much we used to bitch about hearing certain songs over & over, Half-step, Me & My Uncle, Not Fade, U.S. Blues, etc., & then the thought occurred to me, "how much would I pay to see Jerry play those songs now??"
